Gary Lim
Executive Director
Gary’s journey with outdoor education started as a trainee teacher where he was part of the team studying how outdoor education and pursuits were conducted in the United Kingdom.
This journey then continued to make further headway during his teaching career as the teacher-in-charge of the outdoor activities club, sailing, and leadership development. He holds a Master in Education, trained in Challenge Course Management, and also possesses several certifications in ropes course training, rescue as well as sailing.
Other past experiences include sitting in national committees involved in ropes course safety, sailing, and leadership development.
Fikri Aziz
Manager
Operations & Events
Fikri started his journey in the outdoor industry in 2014. He has always been passionate about creating meaningful outdoor learning experiences and supporting the development of others.
Today, Fikri oversees operations & events at Sarimbun Scout Camp. He is motivated by the growth of his colleagues and enjoys working together with the team to provide better service, smoother campsite operations and meaningful programme experiences for all participants.
Outside of work, Fikri loves travelling with his family of four, exploring the world and creating new memories together.
Jennifer Chua
Assistant Manager
Finance & Admin
Jennifer is a person who loves numbers! Through her many years of experience in the different industries, she believes that SLDC is a meaningful workplace for her to apply her skills and knowledge in.
SLDC is a place that nurtures the youths, who are our future to build confidence and strengthen their social development.
Filyana Amran (Fily)
Senior Executive
Operations & Programmes
Fily supports SLDC’s venue rental and Scout bookings, working closely with clients and Scout groups who wish to organise camps, programmes or events at Sarimbun Scout Camp. She is committed to providing a positive customer experience by guiding enquiries, supporting booking arrangements and helping clients better understand what the campsite can offer.
Beyond work, Fily is an animal lover who enjoys running, music and the energy of rock concerts.
Danial Iman (Dandan)
Senior Executive
Programmes & Special Projects
Danial develops, runs and executes programmes for a wide range of clients, including schools, organisations and community groups. He works closely with facilitators and programme teams to ensure each programme is well-coordinated, meaningful and smoothly delivered.
Passionate about youth engagement, Danial enjoys creating experiences that help young people learn, grow and build confidence through outdoor education and shared challenges.
Outside of work, Danial loves to travel, dress up and explore new experiences wherever he goes.
Shawn Valen Aranas Dizon
Executive
Operations & Programmes
Having previously engaged as a freelance facilitator in SLDC, his commitment to nurturing young minds has flourished through almost 5 years of dedicated facilitation.
Motivated by this passion, Shawn have chosen to integrate himself into a team environment, where he can further impart his teachings and contribution to the development of our youth.
Additionally, Shawn has a fervent enthusiasm for rugby and motorsports!
Danish Akif
Executive
Operations & Programmes
Danish supports the daily operations of Sarimbun Scout Camp, ensuring that campsite spaces are well-maintained, prepared and ready for programmes, events and bookings. From grounds maintenance and lawn mowing to logistics preparation and programme setup, he plays an important role in keeping the campsite operational and welcoming for our guests.
He also supports the team during events and programmes, helping to ensure that arrangements on the ground run smoothly.
Outside of work, Danial enjoys fishing and spending time outdoors.
Raju
General Staff
Raju is dedicated and committed to delivering excellence in the day-to-day management of Sarimbun Scout Camp. He plays an important role in maintaining, improving and beautifying the campsite, helping to create a unique and welcoming camping experience for all guests.
With his hands-on approach and strong sense of ownership, Raju supports the team in keeping the campsite clean, safe and ready for programmes, events and bookings.
Outside of work, Raju enjoys gardening and cooking.
Aiub
General Staff
Aiub is dedicated and committed to delivering excellence in the day-to-day management of Sarimbun Scout Camp. He plays an important role in maintaining, improving and beautifying the campsite, helping to create a unique and welcoming camping experience for all guests.
With his hands-on approach and strong sense of ownership, Aiub supports the team in keeping the campsite clean, safe and ready for programmes, events and bookings.
Outside of work, Aiub enjoys watching soccer and sightseeing around Singapore.
